NEKO Checker ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension designed to help web developers check page quality. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles data.
Data collection
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
Data processing
The Extension processes the following information only in the browser's memory:
- OG meta tag content of the current page
- Console logs and errors occurring on the page
- HTTP request status codes related to the page
This information is discarded when the tab is closed and is never sent to any external server.
Data storage
The only data stored is the user's detection settings (on/off toggles), saved locally via Chrome's storage.sync API. This settings data contains no personal information.
Permissions
- activeTab: To display detection results for the active tab
- storage: To save and load user settings
- webRequest: To detect HTTP errors and connection failures
- host_permissions (all URLs): To run quality checks on all websites
Third-party sharing
The Extension does not share any data with third parties.
